National Seminar Food Waste Management

Erasmus+ IN2FOOD National Seminar on Food Waste Management on 7-8 October 2021 with the theme: “Sustainable Food Waste Management Towards National Food Security”.

This National Seminar is conducted online for two days with the following main programs:

• presentations from 4 resource persons from academia and industry,

• presentations in parallel sessions attended by lecturers, students, and/or public actors

who have been engaged in research or activities related to Food Waste Management.

 

This seminar is organized and hosted by academics who are the Indonesian members of the Erasmus+ IN2FOOD project consortium, and is in collaboration with a college consortium called NUNI (Nationwide University Network in Indonesia) to provide an understanding , awareness, and insights on food waste, which is something that needs to be considered and managed properly;  provide education about food waste management among universities; share information on the best practices and research related to food waste management; share information about food waste management methods according to cultural values ​​and local wisdom; and optimize technology in food waste management.

Through this National Seminar, leading scientists, academics, researchers, and industry practitioners can meet to exchange and share experiences about their research outcomes and conduct activities regarding all aspects of Food Waste Management. The forum can also provide a key interdisciplinary opportunity to discuss the latest innovations, trends, concerns, practical challenges, and solutions adopted in this area.

• Food Waste Management in Public Facility
